Leaderboards and friendly competition for insurance agencies

Agency Edge gives your insurance agency a leaderboard built on the sales you already record. Rank your team on premium or policy count, line by line, for today, this month, this year or all time. Then compete beyond your own office: on national and state boards, and in private leagues you start with offices you know. Records, milestones and streaks are worked out for every producer.

Leaderboards inside your office

Choose Office to rank offices, or Team Member to rank people. Then choose Premium or Count, where Count is the number of policies. Pick the period: Today, This week, This month, Last month, This year, All time or a custom range. Click a line’s column heading (Auto, Fire, Life, Health or Bank) to rank the whole board by that line.

Premium is the issued premium where a sale has one, and the written premium otherwise. Upload the sales reports you already get, or record a sale in a few clicks. Last year’s history can come in too, so your leaderboards start full.

Compete beyond your own office

National and state boards

The National board ranks every office that lists itself. Your state board shows the same offices, narrowed to your state, and you can look at any other state too. After a sale changes, the figures update, usually within a few minutes.

Your own league, with offices you know

A league is a private leaderboard among offices that choose to join it. Name yours, and Agency Edge gives it a seven-character code. Send the code to the owners you want in; they enter it and press Join. Each league gets its own tab, with Office and Team Member views. An office can create or join as many leagues as it likes.

Custom leagues →

Share to compare

Sharing works both ways. Two settings decide it, and only the owner can change them. Enable leaderboards lists your office and lets you see the other offices. Share our team members also ranks your people by name. A new office starts with both on. You can’t see other offices on National or the state board without listing yours.

In a league, another office’s people are listed by name only when both offices share team members. Your office is in a league only if you join it, and stays on its board until you leave. No board ever shows pay.

Achievements, records and streaks

Agency Edge works out each person’s achievements from the sales they’ve written. Nothing is awarded by hand, and nothing resets.

Records

Best month, best premium month, best year, best day, best week and best quarter. A gold ★ Office record pill marks a figure that is also the top one among your active producers.

Milestones

One track for policies and one for premium, each showing the next marker.

Streaks

The longest run of business days with at least one sale (a weekend doesn’t break it), and the months at 10 or more policies, 20 or more, and so on.

Home calls out the month’s wins too: goals met months in a row, an office best month, a person’s best month ever, a selling streak of three business days or more. Every team member sees the wins on Home.

Achievements don’t pay. To put money on one, add a bonus to your commission plan: a streak bonus for a target hit several periods in a row, a milestone bonus for reaching a target, or a team bonus that pays each eligible member when combined production reaches the goal.

Insurance sales contest ideas

Eight ideas to start from. The first three run on the leaderboard; the rest run on achievements, goals or a bonus.

  1. 1.Monthly premium race. Team Member view, Premium, This month. Whoever leads at month end picks lunch.
  2. 2.Line sprint. Pick one line for the month, say Life, and rank on its Count. Change the line monthly so different people get a turn on top.
  3. 3.Office vs. office. Start a league with offices you know and race on premium in Office view.
  4. 4.Beat your own record. Recognize anyone who sets a new best month in their Records. A new hire can win the same week as your top producer.
  5. 5.Selling streak. Most business days in a row with a sale. Home calls out a streak of three or more; to pay for one, use a streak bonus with a Daily period.
  6. 6.Everyone wins. Set one office target. A team bonus pays each eligible member when combined production reaches it.
  7. 7.Review challenge. The leaderboard ranks sales, not activities, so run this as an activity goal for reviews. Each person logs them from Log Activity, which shows progress toward the month’s goal. An Activity Bonus can pay for each one logged.
  8. 8.New-hire ramp. Give each new hire their own monthly policy goal and add the goal pace column on the Team page. Recognize everyone on pace.

Keep it fair

Ranked on the record.

Boards rank the sales on record, the same sales your goals and pay come from. No separate scoresheet.

Only salespeople are ranked.

Service staff have no row, and the owner can be hidden; their sales still count for the office.

Your team sees what you allow.

Team members see Leaderboards only while Enable leaderboards is on, and can’t change what the office shares.

Recognition alongside pay.

Leaderboards and achievements never show pay.

Ties into goals and pay

Goals and activities. Set office and individual goals for policies, premium and quotes, by year and by month. Home shows whether the month’s goals are met, on pace or behind. Your office defines its activities, such as policy reviews or life appointments, and everyone logs them from Log Activity. The Team page lists everyone side by side, a producer scorecard for the whole office.

Activities: define them and log them →Activity tracking for your team →

Pay. Pay is optional. Turn it on and Agency Edge works out each person’s commission and bonuses by your plan and keeps the record, with a Payroll Summary PDF for every run. You pay through your own payroll. See our commission tracking software.

Before you ask

What can the leaderboard rank?

Recorded production: premium or policy count, by office or by team member, in total or by line. Periods run from Today to All time, or a custom range.

How do national leaderboards for insurance agents work?

The National board ranks every Agency Edge office that lists itself, and the state board shows the same offices narrowed to one state. To see other offices there, you list yours.

What do other offices see?

Your office’s policy counts and premium, by line, if Enable leaderboards is on. Your team members appear by name only if Share our team members is on too. In a league, they appear only when both offices share team members. A new office starts with both settings on, and only the owner can change them. Nobody ever sees pay.

Can I start a private league?

Yes. Create one and share its code with the owners you want in. Joining a league changes nothing about National or your state board.

Will my team see each other’s pay?

No. Leaderboards show production, not pay. Team members start with Basic access: Home, the office’s sales, Leaderboards, the calendar and their own pay. Pay rates, ROI and other people’s pay stay with you unless you grant them.

How do I gamify insurance sales?

Rank your team on premium or policies, recognize records and streaks as well as rank, and give each month a finish line with goals. Pay for what matters most with bonuses.

Can we run a contest on calls or reviews?

Not on the leaderboard, which ranks sales. Set an activity goal instead, and an Activity Bonus can pay for each one logged.

Does it need to connect to my agency management system or carrier?

No. You upload the sales reports your office already gets, or record a sale by hand.

What does it cost?

$199 a month per office, with every feature and every team member included. No per-seat fees, and setup with us is included. Each extra office is $99 a month. Beta pricing; final pricing is set before public launch.
