Custom leagues
Updated
A league is a private leaderboard among offices that choose to join it.
Where leagues are managed
Leagues live in Settings, on the Leaderboards tab, under Custom leaderboards. The gear beside the board tabs on the Leaderboards page opens the same tab. Only the owner of an office can create, join, leave or change a league.
Create a league
The section reads League created. A name is all a league needs, and there are no other options. Your office is its first member, and its row is tagged Owner.
Beside the name is the league's code: seven letters and digits. Click it to copy it.
Join a league
A league is shared by its code. There is no link and no email. Send the code to the owner of each office you want in, however you like.
The section reads Joined league, and the league is listed and tagged Member. A code that matches no league answers No league found for that code. Joining a league you are already in changes nothing.
What a league shows
On the Leaderboards page each league is its own tab, after National and your state, with the same views, measures and periods. Every member office is ranked, including one with nothing written in the period.
Joining is your consent to share inside that league:
- Office view ranks the member offices by name, with their state.
- Team Member view ranks salespeople by name. Your own people are always listed. Another office's people are listed only when that office and yours both have Share our team members switched on.
The page itself still needs Enable leaderboards switched on. With it off, your office stays on the league's board for the other offices, but nobody in your office can see any board.
What your office controls
Nothing is set league by league. Three settings shape your listing on every board, a league included:
- Salesperson, on each person. Off, they have no row in Team Member view.
- Agency Owner Visibility in the owner's Preferences. Set to Hidden, the owner has no row.
- Your product lines. A line your office has switched off shows a dash and is left out of your Total.
To come off a league's board altogether, leave the league.
Manage a league you own
The row of a league your office owns has four buttons.
- Rename — your browser asks for the new name under Rename league. Every member office sees the new name.
- Offices — opens Member offices, the list of offices in the league. Remove takes an office out at once, without asking. That office can join again with the code, so change the code as well if it should stay out.
- Code — asks Generate a new code? and warns The old code stops working. Press Generate. Offices already in the league stay in.
- Delete — after you confirm, the league and its board are gone for every member, and this cannot be undone. Nobody's sales are touched.
Leave a league
On a league your office joined, press Leave and confirm. Your office comes off that league's board, and you can join again later with the code. The office that owns a league has no Leave button. It deletes the league instead.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a limit on leagues or offices?
No. An office can create or join as many leagues as it likes, and a league can hold any number of offices.
Can a member office see the league's code?
No. The code is shown only on the owning office's row, so ask that office for it.
Does joining a league put my office on the national board?
No. Joining changes nothing about National or your state board. Those follow Enable leaderboards.
Who can see my people in a league?
With Share our team members switched on: everyone in the league's member offices that share their own people too, if they can open the Leaderboards page. They see each salesperson's name, office, policy count and premium, and nothing about pay. With it switched off, only your own office sees your people, and your office sees no other office's people. Your office's name and totals stay in the Office view either way.
