Racing Snail may suit you better if you run a captive agency and want your numbers to arrive through carrier integrations. It is also the one to look at if your agency needs a vendor that states a certification: its product page says "SOC 2 Type 2 certified".
Agency Edge may suit you better if you want a calendar with time off, answers from your own numbers in plain words, and a download of all your data. Agency Edge has no carrier connection and is not SOC 2 certified today.

- You run a captive agency. Racing Snail is aimed at captive agencies writing through one primary carrier, and its data comes in through carrier integrations, report upload or manual entry. Agency Edge has no carrier connection.
- Your agency needs a certified vendor. Mivation's product page for Racing Snail states "SOC 2 Type 2 certified". Agency Edge is not SOC 2 certified today.
- You want single sign-on or a Salesforce integration. Racing Snail's pricing page lists SSO and a Salesforce integration, each marked as available. Agency Edge has neither.
- You want a money-back period. Racing Snail's pricing page states a "60-day money-back guarantee" and "no contracts".

- You are not a captive agency. Mivation sells Racing Snail as "Racing Snail for Captives". Agency Edge needs no carrier connection: your numbers come in by spreadsheet upload, or by hand.
- You want time off in the same place as production. Agency Edge has a calendar with office hours, holidays, time-off requests and balances. A time-off calendar is not stated on Mivation's site.
- You would rather ask than build a report. Ask Vera answers in plain words from your office's own numbers. Vera can be wrong, so check a figure before you act on it. Mivation advertises no AI features.
- You want to hold your own data. The office's owner can download everything as spreadsheets and delete it, from Settings. A data export feature is not stated on Mivation's site.
Agency Edge also tracks team production, goals and pace. It is desktop web, and it is not a CRM or an agency management system.

Your data, and leaving
Mivation's terms of service say "You are responsible for backing up any data that you want to keep". They also say inactive accounts are purged with all user data "90 days after cancellation or termination". A data export feature is not stated on their site, so ask Mivation how you would take your history with you.
