Production by product

Updated

Agency Edge breaks your production down by product line in two places: the Trends tab of the Sales page, and the product cards on Home.

The Product Line Performance table

1
Click Sales in the sidebar. The page opens on the Trends tab.
2
Find Product Line Performance, under the four cards at the top.

The table has a row for each product line your office has switched on, in your office's order, and a Total row. A line with nothing written in the period still has a row, with zeros.

Its columns are Product, Sales, % of Sales, Premium and Avg. Click a heading to sort by it. A "reset" link then appears beside Product, and puts the rows back in your office's order.

Change the period and the filters

The table covers the period named on the date button, at the left of the filter bar. Press the button to pick a month, or choose All Time, YTD or Custom. The arrows beside it step a month back or forward.

The other filters narrow every figure on the tab: All Products, All Policy Types, All Team Members, All States, All Sources and Status. Choose one person, such as Grace Hopper, and the table becomes her production by product.

Compare to, also in the filter bar, adds a column. Choose Previous period or Same period last year, and a column headed like "vs Sep 2026" shows the change in sales and, under it, the change in premium. It is not offered on All Time.

Compare team members by product

Scroll down to Team Performance. Each team member has a row, ranked by sales, with Sales, Premium and Lines/HH, then one column for each product line with the number of policies they wrote in it. Click a product's heading to rank the team on that line.

A product nobody sold in the period is left out. A note under the table names it, and the Product columns button brings it back.

Tick exactly one product in All Products and the table gains a column for that product's premium per sale, headed like "Auto $/Sale".

When the period is anything but a single month, Monthly Averages by Producer comes next. For each person it gives Sales/Mo and Prem/Mo, then sales per month for each product line with the premium beneath. The last row is Team Average.

The product cards on Home

Production by product on Home has a card for each product line. A card shows POLICIES and PREMIUM for the month, each with a bar toward its goal when one is set. The switch beside the heading changes the cards from the month to the year so far.

Which product lines appear

The Sales page lists every line with Enabled ticked under Product Lines, in the Display section of Preferences. Home shows the lines that also have Home card ticked. Lines are added and edited in Sale Config.

Sales whose product is not an enabled line are not dropped silently. A line in the table that starts "Not in this table:" gives their count, their premium and the product names. They are left out of Total.

What the numbers mean

  • Sales is the number of policies written in the period, counted by written date. Every status counts, pending included. Set Status to Issued to count only policies that issued.
  • Premium is the issued premium for a sale that has one, and the written premium otherwise.
  • % of Sales is the line's share of the policies in the table. It is a share of the count, not of premium.
  • Avg is premium divided by sales.
  • The bar under a product's name is its sales measured against the busiest line.
  • Lines/HH is the average number of different product lines per household, where a household is one customer name.
  • A monthly average divides by the months in which that person wrote a sale, shown under Months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is a product line missing from the table?

It is switched off for your office. The owner, or a Custom member who can open Sale Config, can tick Enabled beside it under Product Lines.

Why is the table's Total lower than the Total Sales card?

Total Sales counts every sale in the period. The table's Total adds up enabled product lines only, and the rest are in the "Not in this table:" line.

Can I see premium by product for one person?

Yes. Choose that person in All Team Members and read Product Line Performance. For everyone at once, Monthly Averages by Producer shows premium per month for each line.

Do the product colors mean anything?

They identify the line everywhere in the app. Auto, Fire, Life and Health take their colors from your chart theme. See Preferences: appearance, themes and density.

Does a Basic team member see these figures?

Yes. A Basic member has Sales and Home, and both show the office's numbers.
