The Sales log
Updated
The Sales log is the list of every sale your office has written, one row per policy.
Open the log
The pills above the table count what is showing: Sales, Premium, Issued and Pending, plus Won't Issue and Chargebacks when there are any. Press a status pill to show only those sales, and press it again to clear it. Households regroups the log by customer.
Filter the log
The filter bar sits under the pills:
- The date button names the period, such as "Oct 2026". Press it to pick a month, or choose All Time, YTD or Custom, which gives you two date boxes. The arrows beside it step a month back or forward.
- All Products lists your office's product lines. All Policy Types lists policy types, narrowed to the products you pick.
- All Team Members lists who wrote the sales: people with sales in the period first, then active people with none. Departed people and unmatched names are grouped apart.
- All States lists the states with sales in the period, and All Sources your sale sources.
- All Statuses offers Issued, Pending, Won't Issue and Chargeback.
Every list takes more than one tick. Reset All clears the filters and the search box, and returns to the period the page opens on: YTD or the current month, whichever is your Default Date Range in Preferences.
Search
The Search box at the end of the filter bar narrows the log as you type. It looks in the policy name, writer, product, policy type, source, state, county and ZIP code.
The search box in the top bar covers the whole office. Press Ctrl+K and type at least two characters. Matches appear under Sales, Leads, Team Members and Pages, for the pages you can open. Sales are matched on policy name, writer, city, ZIP code and product, one line per customer. Click one and the log opens on All Time, searched for that name. Reset date returns to your usual period.
Columns, sorting and pages
The table opens with ten columns: Written, Policy Name, Written By, Product, Policy Type, Biz Type, Source, Premium, Zip and Status.
Press Columns to change them. Tick a column to show or hide it, and drag it or use its arrows to move it. Written always stays first. More columns holds State, Eff. Premium, Chargeback and any custom sale fields your office has added. Reset brings back the standard layout. The layout is saved to your login.
Click a column heading to sort by it, newest or largest first, and again to reverse it. The log opens sorted by Written, newest first.
The table shows 50 sales to a page. Under it are the count, such as "214 sales shown", and ← Prev and Next →.
Row actions
The office's owner gets a checkbox and an Actions column on each row. The note icon adds or opens a note, the pencil opens the sale for editing, and the link icon links the sale to a lead. On a sale that is already matched, an eye opens the match instead.
Ticking rows opens a bar for changing or deleting several sales at once. Edit and delete sales covers both.
For the owner, the pill in the Status column is a button too. Press Pending to record that the policy issued, or that it will not. Press an issued pill to record a chargeback. Other team members can press Pending on their own sales, to mark them issued.
Export
Export, above the table, downloads a spreadsheet (.xlsx) of every sale that matches your filters and search, from all pages. It has the columns you are showing, in your order, with dates and premiums as real dates and numbers. The file is named for your office and the period, such as "Sales Log – Blue Oak Insurance – Oct 2026.xlsx".
One file holds up to 50,000 sales. Past that, the page asks you to narrow the date range.
Snapshot, at the top right of the page, saves the same list as a PDF.
What the numbers mean
Premium, on a row and in the pill, is the issued premium once a sale has one, and the written premium until then. A small arrow beside a row's figure means the two differ. Hover over it to see both.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is there no Actions column on my screen?
Editing, linking and deleting from the log belong to the office's owner. Everyone else reads the log, and can mark their own pending sales as issued.
Does a Basic team member see the whole office's sales?
Yes. A Basic member's log lists the office's sales. A Custom member limited to their own sales gets a note above the table saying so.
A team member or a state is missing from a filter. Where did it go?
Those two lists follow the period. A state appears only when the period holds a sale there, and a departed person only when it holds one of their sales. Widen the period and they come back.
