Ask Vera
Updated
Vera is the assistant inside Agency Edge: ask a question in plain words and she answers from your own office's numbers.
What Vera is, and who can use her
Vera works each answer out at the moment you ask. The line under the question box says so: "Every answer is computed live from your office's data." She reads only your office, and only the kinds of data the owner has switched on.
Vera can be wrong and is not professional advice, so check a number on its own page before you act on it.
- The owner can always use Vera.
- A Custom member can once the owner ticks Vera (AI Assistant) in their permissions. It is off by default, and Grant all does not turn it on.
- A Basic member cannot.
That tick shows a warning that begins Vera cannot be limited. Anyone with Vera can ask about all office data, salaries and payouts included.
Choose what Vera may read
Only the owner can open this setting.
- Team members: the roster, positions and producer stats.
- Salary & Commission: pay, commission plans, rates and payout structures.
- Sales: the sales log, summaries, trends and location breakdowns.
- Leads: internet leads, provider ROI and which leads became sales.
- ROI, Goals & Activity: employee ROI, goal pacing and activity tracking.
- Schedule & PTO: weekly schedules, time off and PTO balances.
With a switch off, that data returns nothing, and Vera says it isn't enabled instead of answering. A question that draws on two kinds needs both on.
Ask a question
A new chat offers six starter questions, such as Who's behind pace this month? and Payouts due this month. On a wide window the right side lists each kind of data with a count, or Off, and things Vera noticed in your numbers that you can click to ask about.
An answer can hold text, tables and charts, plus buttons that open a page or a window and follow-up questions to click. Under it, a line names what Vera read and when. Point at the answer for Copy and Save as PDF.
Your chats are kept
Every chat stays in the list on the left, under Pinned, This week and Earlier. Click one to reopen it, or type in Find a chat. New chat starts another. Each person sees only their own chats.
Point at a chat and click the three dots for Rename, Pin, Export as PDF and Delete. To rename, type the new title and press Enter. Delete asks Archive this chat? Press Archive and it leaves your list. The prompt says it is not permanently deleted, but nothing on the page brings it back.
With a chat open, the bar at the top has two more buttons:
- Save as PDF downloads the whole chat, charts included.
- Email to the team is for the owner. Everyone who can receive it starts ticked under To. Untick anyone you like, check the Subject, add Your note, and send. Everyone gets the same email, with the chat attached as a PDF. It sends once, straight away.
The weekly brief
Every Monday morning Vera writes a brief of last week: production, pace, movers, producer goals and cross-sell targets. It arrives as a chat under Weekly brief at the top of the owner's list, tagged New for its first week.
The notification bell also shows Your weekly brief is ready. Its Open in Vera link opens that chat directly.
To stop it, go back to the Vera section of Settings and turn off Send a weekly brief every Monday morning under Weekly Brief. That switch changes nothing about what Vera can read.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Vera change my data?
No. Vera only reads. When an answer offers a button, it opens the usual page or window, and nothing is saved until you save it there yourself.
Why does Vera say something isn't enabled?
The switch for that kind of data is off. The owner can turn it on under AI data access.
Does the weekly brief go to my team?
No. It lands in the owner's chat list only. To pass it on, open it and press Email to the team. For numbers that reach your team on a schedule, see Digest emails.
Can Vera answer about another office?
No. Vera answers for the office you are working in.
