Pay Team: run a pay period
Updated
Pay Team is the window where the owner reviews what each person is owed for a pay period and records it as paid.
Open it and review
Pay Team recalculates every person's pay from their sales each time it opens, so mark issued policies as issued first.
Only people who have earned something in the period on screen are listed. Policies that have not issued are held until they issue: they are marked on Earnings Breakdown and left out of Payable this run.
If each run closes your pay period, there is no month list. Each person is paid everything that has issued since their last run, for the dates beside their name.
A person with a chargeback balance shows Balance available to deduct under the Chargeback box. Type an amount, or click that line to apply the whole balance. The deduction cannot be more than the balance or more than the person earned in this run. Net is what is left. See Chargebacks and carryovers.
Confirm the run
If the heading reads Partly paid or Nobody was paid, the window names who was skipped and why.
What the page says afterwards
Once a finished period is paid in full:
- The large figure on Payouts reads Paid and the day of the run as a short month and day, with no year: Paid Oct 3. Two runs in one period read Paid Oct 3 · Oct 16.
- Under the person's name, Paid replaces Ended · not paid yet.
- The first band of the bonus table is titled Paid Oct 3 in place of Next paycheck.
In the picker, the month reads ✓ Paid when everyone owed was paid and Partial when only some were.
When more has been earned since the run, the run is a card above the bonus table: Paid Oct 3, Pay Team run, its sales count and its amount. Click it to see what it paid.
What is locked after a run
- In the sales log a paid sale opens as Locked Sale. Its fields are greyed out and it cannot be deleted, though you can still record a chargeback on it. Uploading it again changes nothing. A sale that had not issued is not locked.
- The Payout Settings window reads Locked — Pay Team has run. Change settings still works, but a change starts on the next 1st.
Pay again, or undo a run
On a period that already has a run, Pay Team opens on a summary of who was paid, how much and when, under a banner ending payroll already confirmed.
- Check for new earnings, or Pay Remaining Members when someone is still owed, goes back to the review step for another run. It pays only what has become payable since. Nothing already paid is paid twice.
- Undo on a person's row, or Undo all at the bottom, reverses a run. Each asks you to confirm, with Cancel as the default; for one person the confirming button is Undo run. The amount goes back to unpaid, the sales unlock, and the next run can pay it. A new run prices the sales as they stand that day, so the figure can differ from the one you undid.
If your office closes a period with each run, only a person's latest run can be undone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Pay Team send money to my team?
No. Pay Team records the run in Agency Edge: who was paid, how much, and which sales it covered. It does not move money, so pay your team the way you already do.
Can I pay one person now and the rest later?
Yes. Untick the others on the first step. The second step warns that their earnings stay unpaid until the next run. When you open Pay Team again, Pay Remaining Members picks them up.
A policy issued after I ran Pay Team. What now?
If the month is your pay period, run Pay Team again for that month and it pays the difference. If each run closes your period, the policy accrues to the next run.
