Match leads file columns

Updated

Tell Agency Edge which column in a vendor's file holds each part of a lead.

2 minutes · Owner

1
Add the file in Upload Data, with the Lead Provider and Lead Type chosen. Upload internet leads shows how.
2
Press Review mapping under the file. It reads Fix mapping when a required field has no column.
3
Under Required, pick a column for Received Date. Under Who the lead is, pick the name columns, or a Phone column.
4
Under Optional, pick a column for each field your file has, such as Zip Code and Retail Cost.
5
Columns no field uses sit under Not imported from your file. Press one to give it a field.
6
When the top line reads Ready to import, press Import, then Upload & Process.

A few fields to know:

  • Zip Code: tells leads apart and helps match them to sales. A lead's state comes from it.
  • Retail Cost: what the vendor charged. Subsidy is the part a carrier paid, and your net cost is the first minus the second.
  • Net Cost: pick it only when the file already holds what you paid.
  • Return Status and Return Details: see Mark a lead returned or credited.

The mapping is saved for that vendor's next file. To start again, open the three-dot menu at the bottom of the window and choose Reset to automatic, or the line that begins Forget saved.

Tip. Is the whole name in one column? Press Use a single Lead Name under Who the lead is.
