Enter a person's pay

Updated

Enter what a person is paid, so Agency Edge knows what they cost.

2 minutes · Owner

1
Open Settings and choose the Team Members tab.
2
Press Edit beside the person, then choose Compensation.
3
Press Set Starting Compensation. If the person has no hire date, enter it and press Save Hire Date first.
4
Choose a Pay Type and enter the amount.
5
Check the Effective Date and press Save Compensation.

The pay types are Salary, Hourly, Fixed Rate and Commission Only. On Fixed Rate, tick Add a service fee (paid to a third party) for a staffing fee. It counts toward the person's cost in Employee ROI and is not paid to them.

Record a raise

1
On the person's Compensation tab, press Record Pay Change.
2
Enter the new rate.
3
Enter the Effective Date it starts. It cannot be earlier than the hire date.
4
Press Save Pay Change.
  • Each change adds a line to Compensation History, and the older ones stay.
  • Paid now, above the list, shows the newest rate that has already started, with its Annual, Monthly and Every 2 weeks amounts.
  • A rate dated in the future does not replace it until that date arrives.

Tip. Team pay, on the Team Members tab, adds up everyone's base pay. Commissions and bonuses are not included, and the owner is left out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I change the old entry when someone gets a raise?

No. Press Record Pay Change and give the new rate its own Effective Date. The old rate stays in the history, so earlier months keep the cost they had.

What is correct entry for?

Typing mistakes. Point at the entry and press correct entry. Use it for mistakes only, not for a raise.
